Tower on a Bayliner 195 Discovery (2008)

I know this isnt the idea situation but its the situation I am in.

Anyone done this? If so I have a few questions.

- Can the tower be mounted on the flat gunnels? They seem to be reinforced already which I wouldnt have to do as I was planning on glassing in some 3/8 baltic birch, or does it need to be mounted on the sidewalls?

Any pics of the install?

I am using a MT1 tower by Monster.

What does monster advise you to do with the mounting points? I would always place some extra support so it does not damage the hull.
