here on Lake Grapevine in DFW there is a DUC boat/bus tour opperation that frequents the lake. Also there is a guy who must be the AmphCar president . They have a couple meets each year and while sitting on top of my bud Mark's houseboat killing brain cells watched one AmphCar tow in another while 2 more cruised around them. Ole Mark squinted out of one eye and said " Now thats somethin' ya don't see ever' day."
They look like a small "57 Chevy convertible have like a 47hp motor 45mph top road speed and a propeller out back- go maybe 5-7mph in the water. pretty cool. saw one on Barrett-Jackson sell for $75,000.

They took the same vehicles, did some tweaking, and attempted to cross the English Channel. The pickup did eventually make it across.

The pickup that crossed the english channel was a Nissan. For some reason they didn't re-use the yota, but us Nissan folks didn't care.
