Tracker Guide V14 Laker & 1448 All-Welded

Hi everyone,

I am considering to buy one of Tracker Guide V14 Laker or 1448 all-welded jon. I am not familiar w/ Tracker utility / jon boats build quality so I am looking for opinions. I did not post into the Tracker boats forum because I'd like to get not biased opinion.

My Tracker was Ok. If I were shopping again Tracker would be on my list, but so would a bunch of others. Good luck in your search for unbiased opinions. Here are a couple more threads on shopping aluminum boats -

From what I hear, they are REAL heavy. Try Alumicraft or Lowe. I believe that lowe bought out Grumman and used their plan. I have a 12 foot grumman Vee, and aside for being a vee, I love it.

Tracker is good..... look at xpress boats too. Be cautious with any wood on a new tracker .... they tend to use cheap plywood.
