Tracker People???

On my 18ft Tracker the safety strap was attached to the winch strap.
Is that the the way Tracker does that? I did not like the way that was done.
Went and got me a bit of chain and couplers, tied into the winch post.

Jim my tracker has 2 u bolts for the winch strap and safty straps.

What I am trying to say is a short piece of strap sown onto the winch
strap, 2 seperate hooks. old jim

I also added a piece of chain to the winch post as a safty hook up.

My boat came with a seperate winch strap and safety chain. The chain is attached to the winch post and clips on it's own Ubolt.

Ditto all of the above. Even though I don't tow very for or often, I added a piece of chain and a separate U bolt to the boat chassis. Can't hurt anything
