I have a 2002 Tracker Pro DV-16. I would like to get one or two of the "bicycle" or "saddle seats" for the boat. Does anyone know if the existing high back seat post can be used or if a new post must be purchasesd? The seat posts that are on the boat now are quite thick as well. Thanks.

usually when you use the bicycle seats you use an adjustable pedestal with them, so you'll probably have to buy one of those too.

Right, but will the new adjustable pedestal connect to the existing seat post or will I need to replace where it mounts to the floor? I didn't know whether or not a wider post could be bought that fits into my existing platform on the floor. I tried to obtain some information using the Tracker website and the web and wasn't able to find anything. Thanks for the assistance.

i'm not sure.. i looked at them briefly, the posts, but all the ones i saw were the smaller size on the bottom. i would imagine they make the larger size too for use in bases like the ones we have.. maybe check out swivel-eze's website. see if they offer them.

Has anyone used the Taper-Lock Adapter with the Kingpin Adjustable Post? I was wondering if they would work together and whether or not there would be any wobble.

FYI. I made it to a local BPS and was able to get some information and actually take a look at the pedestals and posts. It seemed like the best option was to purchase a Keyed Air Pedestal which costs $109. The other option was to use the Taper-Lock Adapter and then an Adjustable Kingpin Post or Pedestal. I would imagine this would cause a bit of wobbling though.
