I have a 2005 Targa 117 and they have started using what they call a "no pinch"seat hinges.
The old style would get you if you weren't careful, but these new ones are so weak they cant support a persons weight if you lean back at all.
I have spoken with the dealer and Tracker customer reps and so far the only solution they have is to put new hinges [the same junkie kind]each time I bend them which they said they will do as long as its under warranty. Not satisfactory.
The customer rep said he had not heard of this problem before.I called this guy right after talking to someone who called him about the same problem before,so either he forgot or is fibbing.
What I wonder is if anyone els has had this problem. I traded in a 2000 Tracker Pro Team SE
17 and never had any trouble with it.The seat hinges are the only complaint I have had so far but I think I am being jerked around.Any suggestions on what to do next would be appreciated. :(

Re: Tracker Targa seat hinges

Are the new seat hinges the plastic ones?

If so, ask Tracker to replace your seats with the downgraded seats- the old metal hinge type.

Re: Tracker Targa seat hinges

I think they are aluminum, but such thin material
they are not strong enough.I can bend them back with my bare hands. This boat came with 3 seats
so I got another Tracker seat that is the "old"
style that they replaced. The old ones are fine.I
told them I want the old style hinges. They told me they wont fit, that the bolt pattern is different.I am going to take them apart and see for myself.I think I am getting lied to all over the place. Thanks for the response.
