We traded my 02 silverado in today on a mini-van
actually it was my idea the boys legs aren't getting any shorter and the extended cab is ok for smaller kids but the preteen was getting cramped. Also the van will get better MPG than the truck. We got an 2006 Pontiac Montana SV6. I am so sick of some dealerships. in order to get a $$ on 1 van they wanted to run my credit. Said no way I will take my buisness elsewhere if you need to do that. I then stopped at the dealership I bought the truck at and it went so smooth and painless I don't know why I didn't go there to begin with. So if anyone is looking to buy a vehicle in the Tulsa area stop into Danny Beck Chevrolet.

Great choice of vehicle Jim. We had one for about 4 years or so and loved it. The only reason we upgraded to an Expedition is we needed to be able to pull a trailer. The Montanas didn't have (and may still not) a reciever hitch available. I could have always fabbed one up but being the wifes van I wasn't gonna chance messing something up and having to hear about it. Do keep an eye on the coolant level as they are prone to have leaky intake gaskets, I never had a problem in 148,000 though.

More room, less gas !!! Great trade for you. Are you planning to tow anything with it ????

I was thinking of getting a hitch and a utility trailer but the more I think of it I will just keep my eyes open for a beater pick up. I have to admit this van rides more like a SUV than a van. I filled up the other morning and averaged 26.8 mpg going to work over all this tank is about 23 running the air conditioner.
