Hi all,

New to this board and the boating comunity in general.
Used to be a sail boater in South Africa but hav'nt done any boating in the last 16 yrs.
Just aquired a 1981 16,5' Wellcraft with 1978, 75hp Johnson Motor and trailer.

All seem to be in fairly good shape and should restore to a nice little fishing boat.

I ordered a Seloc Manual with online access for the motor and am just about to try a start up, so I can determine if it would be wise to put more money into it,.

Going thrue the engine I can see some parts missing, like the air intake silencer and one or two other parts, so I have been looking around the net to see if there is places where people can sell/trade used parts, somewhere more boat specific than e-bay, very much like on the firearm forums, but have not fond anything yet. Any advise?

Thanks,
Joe,

Welcome, Joe, your just down the road a piece. Love to fish Georges lake. there are several places in tampa, st pete, clearwater, and daytona, melbourne, that deal up boat and motor salvaged parts. there is also tcoutboard.com, that specialized in used parts.

also join us in May. http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=291501
