trailer boat, no bottom paint,Any performance bottom wax

I have a trailer boat with no bottom paint on it.Is there any performance wax,coating that helps the hull slip thought the water better?

A slick or waxed bottom will actually slow your top end,,a light textured surface allows air to get between hull and water,,,same princapal as a golf ball,,,i put a dimple pattern on the last two feet of my pad on my bass boat and gained 4mph...69mph to 73mph under same conditions,,ie,,water temp,,wind dir, and speed,,same amount of gas and equip.

Wtxmale, I've read a good bit about this new concept of the dimpled hull, from all I've read it's a comprimise, since it helps top end but slightly hurts low end and planing time. Allison tried it a few years back and went back to the slick bottom. Now I agree with you about no wax, just good clean surface is fine.

How did you apply the dimple pattern to your rig? What boat do you have?

Graphite has been around for years....you said you put a dimple pattern on you boat. How did you do it? Do you have a picture of it?

guy in florida makes them,,material is similar to keel guards,,1/16" thick,,self adhesive.only goes on last part of pad,,,boat is 99, ranger 518 with 200 opti max,,2011 lower unit with upgraded gears and low water pick up,,,the new lower unit added almost 5mph,,,used to run 63mph
