Trailer Brake Question

I had a quick question regarding trailer brakes. I have a tandem axle trailer for my bass boat, with disk brakes. I know I'm starting to get low on hydraulic fluid in the tongue and am curious as to what I should refill with. Will standard DOT3 brake fluid work, or am I going to need something specific? It's an EZ Load trailer.

Re: Trailer Brake Question

yep DOT3

BUT if you aren't leaking you are likely getting low because of pad wear... if it is reasonably close to full you MAY consider leaving it alone. If you don't have to top it off it won't overflow when you put new pads on..... I'd suggest at least checking your pads before topping it off as they may need replaced.
