Trailer but getting the boat off the dame trail.

Hello


This Spring I Will Need To Do Some Much Needed Repairs To My Trailer. I Have An 18 Foot Bass Baot 150 Yahama Pro-v .How Do I Get The Boat Safly On Blocks With Out Killing My Self Or Dameging My Boat .i Looked On Youtube I Looked On Google Nothing On Have To Do This .some Tell Me Use A Car Floor Jack With Blocks Of Wood. I Know There Is A Safe Way To Do This .

Not sure on the types of repairs you are wanting to do but what I did was rented a slip for the month. Then put the boat in so I had the trailer for the whole month to work on. (Paint and wiring was my task) Some will let you do a month, a week, or even a weekend. Really depends on what you have available near you. Then you dont have to worry about blocking up the boat in the yard.

Look at Friscoboaters thread in the restoration forum. He took his 19ft I/0 off it's trailer and made a set of Dollies for it complete with pictures on how he did it. he completely restored his trailer, paint, rollers, bunks and winch. he is also doing one heck of job restoring the boat.
