Trailer for 28ft bayliner command bridge

I recently purchased a 1995 Bayliner 2858 Command Bridge and trailer. The trailer is a 31 foot 1995 "Quick Load". I'm not sure that the trailer I bought with this boat is the correct one for this boat. The trailer has two large straight beams that run parallel down the trailer that the boat sits on. They are flat on top. LoThe transom of the boat is not sitting flat on the boat. I'm seeking anyone that may have a similar boat or anyone that could provide me with advise as to what should be done if anything. The support ridges (terminology ?) that run along both sides of the bottom of the boat are sitting directly on top of the rails/bunks. The two trailer rails/bunks appear to be wooden beams that are about 3 inches by 12 inches and are wrapped with outdoor type trailer bunk carpet.

Thanks

If you have a picture of it this would help.

A picture would certainly help, but the strakes (longitudinal ridges) should not be sitting on the bunks unless the flat bottom of the strake is sitting right on the tops of the beams. The top of the bunks normally are angled to match the "V" angle of the bottom.

I'd also be concerned that you are carrying all the weight of a 28' boat on only two bunks. And I don't understand "The transom of the boat is not sitting flat on the boat." If you mean the transom is not being supported by the bunks, this is not good at all. The transom must get good support from the trailer to keep the hull straight.

Get us a picture!!
