I am trying to find out how old this trailer is.
It was made by the E. L. Caldwell & Sons, Corpus Christy Tx.
Model#GT17 Serial#5560
Any other info would be appreciated.
Thank You

Re: Trailer I/D

I just bought it today and p/o didn't have title for it.
When the rain/snow quits i'll try to get some picts.
The trailer looks old as dirt, has the hitch that you
screw down to tighten.
I'm going to have to do a lot of work on it. It has rollers
down the center, and the four corners. The center rollers
aren't even touching the boat.
The boat is a Smoker Craft m/#1672J Big Jon. Boat is a lot
newer than the trailer.

Re: Trailer I/D

Just an opinion but i wouldnt put my Jon boat on a trailer with rollers .
cant imagine any need for them on a Jon and if they arent all set up just right its worse for the bottom of the boat than just being on flats ..

Thats what i'm tryin to figure out. I have to rebuild this trailer
because the way it's set up it sits to high.
So i'm cruising these boards to get ideas.
If someone can post pictures of their jon boat trailers I would
appreciate it.
Thanks
