what can you do when the trailer id sticker is getting unreadable? cant beleive they use paper these days! thanks ken pa.

who made it ,how old is it? youmite beable to get intouch with the mfg. co. what i did was just write down all the info while you can still read it and keep it with the rest of your papers for your boat.

Obviously, you have a computer. Set up in WORD and print a new sticker while the old is still readable. Then go to Staples or Kinko's and laminate it. Glue it over or next to the old one.

Not to worry. In this case you are not doing anything shady or illegal--you are not changing capacities.

Anyway, I have been stopped on the road several times by the gendarmes and all they wanted to see was the registration for the tow vehicle. Here in Pa, the boat police are more interested in boats on the water than trailer capacity plates and would not investigate unless they saw obvious and significant overloading or a trailer deteriorated to the unsafe point.
