Trailer Lights Equalizer ?????

My 92 Silverado keeps blowing fuses after driving with a boat trailer. Dont think it is the trailer, have 2 different boats, same things happen. But as I have been chasing this problem down from suspected shorts, stranded vs solid wire, faulty switch (?), but now I found a little info on trailoring equalizers for lights, not brakes mind you. So I have the HD blinker, but the fuse will pop after a while. Something is getting hot. I wonder if some vehicles like this 92 chevy was made with inadequate wiring and does ANYONE know anything about Wiring Equalizers for tail lights ?????

There should be no need for any special wiring, just the proper inline adapter.
I had a 1990 Chevy and a 1995, and towed almost all the time with both trucks with no issues. I can't say I've ever heard of a wiring equalizer, and I've been towing and setting up tow vehicles for many years.
You could have an issue with the truck in which there's a short or near overload condition which in turn is blowing the fuses.

I've seen bad turn signal/multifunction switches cause issues, bad headlamp/parking lamp switches, and poor grounds as well cause overload concerns.

Check where the trailer wiring connects to the truck first, make sure the adapter or wiring there is secure, clean, and free of corrosion.

I'm not sure if you fixed this problem yet but it would be nice to know what causes the blown fuse. Depending on how many lights you have on your trailer and if you bought the truck with the towing package already, manufactures suggest increasing the amp size of the fuse. However unlikely since I pull my 16 ft john boat with 6 lights on the trailer with my 03 Impala without a bigger fuse. Might be worth looking in to.

Also plug your trailer in and just turn 1 item on and finding what actually causes the fuse to blow. Such as turn the left blinker on then, then right blinker, then stop lights, then running lights. If it blows with just one light on such as the stop lights then you know what wire is shorting out on that wire. If the fuse doesn't blow till you have the running lights on then you push the brake or run a turn signal then I would suggest installing a higher amp fuse. Check the owners manual for the correct size fuse and make sure you have the same size as the owners manual says. If its lower then replace it with the correct size and try. If it is the correct fuse put a 5 amp higher fuse on and try.

ground out the wires you dont need. This gets its own 12v power from the battery and just taps into your wiring for the signal not increased voltage required.

ANother tip, check to make sure the ground is a ground sometimes in vehicles what apears to be a ground is not a ground. Why its best to ground to frame. Get it patched up and get some fishing done....
