trailer lights?

I just purchased new lights for my trailer that came with everything but the converter. I installed a converter, wired everything up and it all worked until the headlights were on, then nothing would work, but if I turn the headlights off everything works fine. All the grounds are good, what am I doing wrong?

sounds like there is a problem with the running lights... find the running light wire and check for a short or something... try unhooking it where it goes into the converter and see if the other lights work with the headlights on.

typical ground problem. you have a ground problem between the car and the trailer.
