jack the trailer up and pull the tire, take a rubber mallet and turn the hub while tapping the BB until it comes off. Remove the cotter pin or tab and remove the big nut. Pull the hub off and the bearings will come with it, clean the spindle and check for damage/wear, pull the bearings out of the hub and clean and repack them, you'll have to pull the grease seal to get to the inside bearings, make sure you replace that with a new one. Put eveything back together and tighten the big nut down so there's some resistance when turning the hub, back off a 1/4 turn and put the cotter pin in, tap the BB back on.
