Is there any place that stocks 4.80 x 12" trailer tires in Maryland? Just the tire, not mounted on rim. I've been to Pep Boys, NTB, Mr. Tire, Bass Pro Shop, West Marine. No dice.

I'm not in MD, but here in San Diego I found some places that sell the tires only (I think Discount Tire was one - its been quite awhile). I never pursued it since the prices for tires alone were such that, by buying the wheel/tire combo, I got the wheels almost for free.

If you can handle going up a size or two -- You might try tires for a -- ? Ford Festiva or a Geo Metro ? Don't remember which one !! The ones i got were 5.30 x12 and i can tell the difference in the way the boat rides over not so smooth highway !! They are radial and i like them !!

You can try Eastern Marine. They're in Newark, Delaware which isn't far from Maryland.

I'll second Eastern Marine. They've probably got 100 of 'em in stock!

Oh my. Look at the Innova 4.80 X 12 tire. Max psi is 90 psi! On my little 14' boat trailer I don't think the wheels would even stay on the ground much with that kind of pressure. Can you say bouncy??? LOL That's like riding on superballs...
