Ok it was a hot day on Saturday causing my spare to blow up then on the way to the lake my trailer tire blew. Right now on my trailer I have 205/75/R14. I have friend who had two new tires in his shop but they are 195/70/R14. Could I use these on the rims I have or do I need to buy the more similar size.

14 inch will fit your wheels... double check load rating so your still within capabilities

The new tire are 1380 max weight the ones that are on there are rated 1760 max weight. What’s your thoughts

That is 760 pounds less carry capacity, I would say you might be overloading the new tires, it is always better to have more than less capacity.

I bought my new tires that came with new rims last summer on ebay for less than a hundred and fifty bucks and gained more carry capacity in the process.

The only way to possibly answer that question is to know the combined weight of your rig (loaded boat and trailer).
