Getting close to thinking about the bottom paint on our refit project and I have mixed emotion. We will be in water for the bulk of the season, freshwater, but will pull and chase when and if necessary to get on fish,so multi launching will be our worst enemy. Will intreprotect and Interlux products are the usual choice,VC17 but I wonder about our use here on a 25 at about 5000 lbs.Thinking Micron CSC might fill the bill but thought I would ask while contemplating.

wow..good research there Carver...

Yea..Interprotect and VC is a good choice..( make sure you get your 10 mils of IP. wont hurt for a 6th coat..

you can hotcoat your VC after your final coat of Interprotect and works Very well if you dont want to sand your entire bottom for other coats.. ( VC offshore will require you to sand 80 grit before coating )

VC17 is very good..thin and you can just roll as you go..no thick BP buildup..( I used to hate VC17 .. but now..I like it myself.. )

IE. you have to use a foam roller for VC.
