Is there any way to add extra insulation around my transducer cable. I had to run close to my tach cable and it also goes next to my vhf antenna cable. If there is interference how can I insulate the cable. Is there something I can wrap around the cable to prevent the interference. Thanks for any help.

Not sure what interference you are talking about. How do you know you are having interference issues, and is the interference with the depth finder or some other electronic issue.

Re: Transducer cable insulation

I just installed the finder this weekend and I haven't used it yet on the water, it says when you install the transducer to run the cable as far away from vhf antenna cord and tachometer wire to prevent interference, if I have a problem is there anything I can do to prevent the interference. I've been on boats when the vhf radio is keyed up the screen gets filled. Just wanting to know what others do if this problem comes up.

I have a problem with the VHF when keyed, I just live with it cause its not keyed often. The transducer cable is already shielded in a co-ax, at least most are. Best to run your power in a separate wire all the way to the battery and not use power from the dash area, that will help more than anything.

The interference is usually in the other direction.
The Sonar causes noise/interference on the VHF radio.

The Radio interfering with the Sonar is only a transient event while Actually Transmitting.
A Non-Issue really.
