Is the transducer really looking to the rear of the boat??
I hear this quite often, and it seems that the little window
is infact looking to the rear. Regards, old jim

Re: Transducer direction?

I know my dad had issues with his for the longest time...he had the end of the transducer pointed down (the far end, small end) and it never worked....he pointed it backwards and it worked perfect :)

he had always had a thru hull before he got a new one at a garage sale.

The transducer should (at least most i know of) should be shaped like a torpedo sorta - and be 'cruising' in the direction of the boat...so the butt end of the torpedo is facing the same as the rear of the boat.
