Sorry if my hull terminology is incorrect but I am trying to install my Helix DI transducer. By the instructions #2 in the pictures is the preffered location. I am wondering with the stepped hull if I will get a lot of turbulence there, also with the swim ladder will it get mistaken for a step? I'm thinking that's why the original speed sensor is mounted where it is. Position #1 seems like my preffered choice, anyone have any experience with this design of hull.

That's not a stepped hull but it should go in position 1 and as far away from the prop as it can, and not in direct line with the lifting strakes (the things sticking out down the length of the hull)

Yea go with #1. That step may cause bubbles or turbulent water that interfere with the readings.

Position #1, 3” beyond the radius of the prop.

The further you go from the keel the higher the probability of speed and turn related issues.

Mounting a transducer between twin motors is the norm
