transducer locations

I have an aluminum deep v fishing boat and when I bought it it came with both the transducers for the fish finders in the back, one on each side. I have since moved the front one onto the trolling motor where, in my opinion, it should be. My question is can I mount the fish locator transducer right next to the speedo transducer? Will it cause any interference? Otherwise should I go back to how it was and put one on each side of the motor? I am asking because I want to put a mounting plate on so I don't have so many holes in the transom. I have a lot to plug and sand down before the boat is painted and I need a game plan for remounting? If anyone could post pics of their set-ups it would be great. Thanks!

Re: transducer locations

Most locator user manuals will tell you not install a transducer on the port side of the boat due to prop wash interference. Likewise, the speedometer pitot and transducer must be separated so that there is no interference. The transducer should also not be positioned in line with any strakes on the bottom of the boat.
