transducer mounting on trolling motor

i have a minnkota power drive v2. if i mount the transducer on it the fin is below the transducer about 2 inches, will that affect it or should i get a spacer so it is all the way down even with fin ? oic included.. thanks..

Transducer beam is a conical shape.
Some are about 10?

IMHO you have no issue.

If you mount it to the fin you had better be careful not to have it ripped off on a log or a rock of some sort.......As stated, transducers ping in a conical shape so I doubt it's hurting your performance.
