transducer mounting

My transducer has come off the hull. It is a through the hull type. I was woundering what do you use to glue it back on. I was told to use a 30 min epoxy.<br /><br />Thanks <br />Steve

smf, first clean the ducer up as best as you could of the old epoxy,same with the hull,make shure the hull and ducer are free of oil,grease,and bone dry. mix your epoxy (fold it to keep air bubbles to min.)if need be add a little acetone to make it a little loose.make a dam so it will accomodate your ducer with 3/4"around to spare.pour in 1/4"of epoxy insert ducer (at an angle,to prevent voids)and let it cure.almost any epoxy will work.the longer the working time the better.
