Transducer mounting

Quick question on a transducer. I have done my research but cant really figure one thing out. I have a v hull. My question is should I mount the transducer straight across the hull or should I angle it to be at the same angle as the hull

Straight.

Level with the horizon, or water.

If you mount it on an angle, it will not give accurate readings.

Might be a different design, but all transducers have the same installation parameters
