I've got a transducer mounted on a metal bracket on the starboard toon of my Bennington, which has a strake on the bottom of it.I get a lot of interference when going at anything above a crawl. I've adjusted the level in the water and position (left to right), but can't seem to figure out what works best. I have seen some guidelines that say to not mount within 2" of a strake, but I can't seem to find a spot far away from it. What is the best level that I could set it to (seam of transducer even with the strake, even with the toon (circular portion) or just below the strake by a certain amount). Is it better to mount on the bracket as far inside of the strake or to the outside or does this have no effect?
