Is it possible to kook up a fish finder to the transducer which is already installed on the boat for the indash depth finder?

If the units are made by the same company around the same time, there is a very slim chance. But normally no.

Are you saying you want to use TWO fish finders on ONE transducer? If that's the case yes you can, but you cannot run them both at the same time and the transducer must be compatible with both locators. You need a transducer switch to accomplish that. Not all manufacturers make them for their models.

If you mean that you want to use the existing transducer for a different locator, yes you can but again, the transducer must be compatible with the new locator. Generally, depending on the age difference, you will most likely run into a connector problem but some manufacturers have adapter cables that allow old transducers to be used with new locators and vice versa.
