I just realized when i purchased the speedometer wheel accesory for my humminbird is that both the transducer and the speed wheel have a temperature sender...can i hook up both the transducer and the speed wheel to the unit without causing an issue or an in-correct temp reading?

I installed one on mine and it works fine. Never really thought about it until now...Just hooked it up and it worked...It's the TS-W speed/temp sensor hooked up to a Wide Eye...

for what it's worth, humminbird said it would work fine, the temp in the paddle wheel will over-ride the transudcer temp for what it's worth. i

So what's the point with the speed wheel and readout? Most boats have speedometers already anyway. As a matter of fact, Mercs have the speedo pickup in the lower unit of the engine; don't need to add one on the transom.

The boat my son just bought has one. Took me a little while to figure out what it was for.
