Ok. I have a 21' Double Eagle i/o. It has a volvo penta 280 DP matched to a chev 350. The issue is it cruises bow down even with the leg adjusted for the max bow up position. Two causes I can think of is that the hull has a big hook or the transom angle is such that the adjustment is not enough to get the bow up. Now for some history of the boat. It was quite the roach that had been painted with house paint, and needed a new floor, transom, and stringers, etc. I replaced the floor transom and stringers, and stripped and repainted the whole thing. Also re did the interior more fishing friendly. I did the stringers one at a time and had the boat properly supported. In making the transom I did it by layering up one piece of plywood at a time so as to maintain the curve of the transom. The boat ran bow down before the resto, so I don't think anything changed there. I am not at the boat so I haven't measured for hook. If I find hook, I guess I should fair that out. If the hull seems ok then I figure the angle betwwn the leg and the hull is to acute and is forcing the bow down. Now for my big question. Can I put in a donut shaped wedge between the transom and the transom shield that is thicker at the bottom to create a larger angle???. That would force the the bow up.
