Got a motor the other day that was sunken recently, the guy had the clamps bust and the thing went into the river. It is a 9.9 evinrude with electric start model 10855M Serial E0001479. He got frustrated working on it because after weeks of work he coudln't get it to start, so it ended up with my cousin, and last night in my garage. The motor had been coverd in oil and dried well by this guy so there is not rust and it looks great. I pull started it to test teh spark and it had a strong one, i had to rig a fuel line because i don't have the right adapter and tank, anyhow gas not going into carb for some reason, but i put some gas straight in the carb and the baby fired right up, this is a sweet motor, but i really need those clamps to use it, Anyone konw of a good way to rig it, or what teh chances of finding clamps/mounts are? Can the clamp part be replaced without removed the whole tiller handle and exhuast thing?
