Transom clamps on 1986 70hp 3cylinder NOT?

Picked up used 70hp with trim tilt

The transom mount doesn't have the hook style transom clamps with big tightening bolts.

It has just a tiny hook on the upper edge of the mounting brackets..not enough to really hang the motor with


Appears the prior owner had the motor attached with 4 large bolts.... 2 each side.

Does thi sound right?

Any way to add the hooks

That's the way the newer engines are attached
