i bought a saturn sib, and noticed my short shaft motor sits a lil high, i gave to have it trimmed down all the way or prop "slips". i had a zodiac years before, and remember the transom had a notch cut out where the motor sat, effectively dropping it down about 2".
my question is can i cut the same style notch in the saturn? or just run with the motor trimmed down?

Which length is the Saturn ? There are Sibs with middle cut transoms and those with straight transoms, and there's some brand motors that will match well, some don't. In reality you need to fine tune the lower leg height to the type of transom that motor rests on. Post a side pic of the motor shot from behind to have a look...
