transom hardware

Got the new transom made up and ready to glass her in! I am going to order the drain plugs now. With the drains do you flange the interior side as well? So I shouldn't purchase one that is super long ( I can always cut to size) but I am looking at the iboats store and they look like 1 7/8 in long which would be fine because I have a 1 1/2 plywood transom, then a littler less than 1/3 in of glass. Should I get the longer one and cut it to play it safe?

No need to get extra long.I usually just set them in place with 3M 5200.You don't need to flange the inside end..
