ive got a 1980 sterncraft 16ft trihull with a 100hp outboard on it.The outside of the transom is solid as a rock.The inside where the bildge is is soft at the bottom and i can push the wood in with my finger,the top is fine.Other words the part where the two bottome motor mount bolts come through are soft the top is not if that makes sense.I only plan on keeping the boat for a year or two and dont want to sink a lot of money into it.<br />how can i fix just the part that is soft?Can i just dig out all of the soft wood and put a sheet of aluminum there? The boat is only on lakes so its not seeing any large waves.Like i said the outside part is solid its just the inside part at the bottom of the bildge thats soft...Thanks
