I have twin alpha one drives that have a peculiar issue. One drive gets galvanic corrosion way more than the other (port gets it and starboard gets minimal) I noticed that my transom mount mercathode system is mounted where it would be protecting one drive (the one that's not corroding) meaning, one puck is mounted directly in the center of the transom and the other is mounted starboard, right of the drive that's not getting the corrosion.
I would think this transom mount system would be mounted with one puck on port and the other starboard so as the current between them would pass over BOTH drives to protect from corrosion?
I'm scratching my head on this.. Anyone have instructions on mounting the pucks for use in twin i/o drives or any input on this issue? I'm thinking it may have been installed wrong.
