Transom mount? (pic incld)

this is a 84 capri 1600br w/85 hp force. This part seems like some sort of mount for splash well support, any pics of the missing part would help. Thanks

maybe it was some kind of old ski pylon mount or something, what does the other side look like?

I just talked to the guy I bought it from and agrees with you, but it wasn't there when he got either...the other side is a mirror image.
