I'm in the process of replacing the transom in my Sylvan with MR drive 140hp.

While test fitting my Gimbal Housing and Transom Plate I noticed that my transom plate and front motor mount pad are not quite parallel.

I was wondering how critical this is?

I drilled 1/2" holes through the transom. If I enlarged them to 9/16" I can probably rotate the plate somewhat. At least get it closer.

Ayuh,..... It's Not,.....

Yer motor is a 3 point mount,..... the differences in angle will cancel at the 1 front mount stud,....

That's awesome, thanks Bondo!

I'm too tired to understand but it will probably make sense tomorrow.
In any case, I won't worry about it.
