I have a 14' Alum. deep-v with a 25 and 9.5hp motors that are removable. I was considering putting on a transom saver but they say that it should only be used with trim/tilt? Could I still use one for my situation?

Re: Transom Saver

I prefer that it be used WITHOUT trim/tilt. Trailers flex and boats bounce. Those forces are transmitted to the motor via the transom saver. With the motor hydraulically locked in place, damage to the motor and/or transom can occur. With a motor free to move, the forces are of far less consequence. Just make sure both ends are attached to the trailer and motor respectively or they bounce out of place.
