Please help.I can't find the gasket and o-ring I need in the Iboats parts. I don't need a whole transom seal kit just the gasket for the outdrive and a water passage O-ring.I will order a whole kit if I have to as I will be changing out the bellows next year but for now everything is in good shape. I can't find a gasket that looks like mine.Everything has 3 holes on one side of them and mine has just the 6 holes for the bolts.
The outdrive is a mercruiser alpha 1 serial # OC378381 I don't know the year.
It's attached to a GM 4.3L V-6.
Please point me in the right direction:)

Re: Transom seal gasket

Now I am CONFUSED! CR your saying I have a alpha 1 Gen 2 outdrive? I did not think it was a gen 2. The boat is a 1988 model.
Also Bondo that gasket on that kit has an extra hole on the one side.Is this univeral and will work or what? It's not like the one I took off but close just an extra hole.

Re: Transom seal gasket

The extra hole I was told does not matter. I use the same kit on my Alpha 1 Gen 1. Yes I know I have a 1994 boat but PO replaced the whole transom assembly and outdrive from a Gen 2 to Gen 1 for some reason. Just make sure torque the 6 nuts to the correct spec which I believe is 50 ft/lbs.
