Hello!

I have a 1996 Lund Tyee Gran Sport 1850. I have the motor out as it is being replaced. I am therefore wondering if it’s worth it to reseal what I can now get at in my transom? It is seemingly in good condition, screw test comes back good so I am wondering if there is any value in polying or painting what I can while the motor is out? Also what is the best way - poly over paint or paint over paint or ?

I am also planning to 5200 seal all the screws in it holding up wires, etc. it doesn’t get overly wet but it is a boat...5F114C36-68CE-4546-9392-1C925544FA26.jpeg

Thank you!
There are no problems that I have found. I’m just thinking if the motor is out I can slap some paint on the exposed part(s) and maybe help prevent down the road.
I’m in the bilge right now with a bucket of water and dish soap and a wash rag right now!
