Just thought I would give a graphic example of what can happen when a transom is not repaired properly. Luckily this did not happen at speed....or to me.
its funny because everyone complains about a little rot on the transom being the end of the world.. yet disasters like these seem very rare considering the amount of transoms being done on this forum alone.....
If I remember right. The repairs were done the summer before and the boat was used very little before this happened. The motor on the other hand. Once it was dried out and serviced it ran fine. It's still being used to this day. I guess you can't kill those old evinrudes.
Yikes!!! I hope everyone was ok when that thing decided to bite the dust. Ditto Bond-o. I'm not sure I would have ever called that a "repair" so much as an "imparement". Glad the old motors still running though
