Re: Transom wheels

Right you are, Paul! I didn't realize the upside down part. Thanks.

Larry
As the name indicates this is a dolly and the boat has to be upside down for the transom to be attached to it and he needs launching wheels big difference

Re: Transom wheels

There are many options for transom wheels.... fewer in Canada.

Definitely get bigger wheels for ease of moving over all sorts of shore surfaces.

I like them to come off so I went with Davis Instruments Wheel a Weigh design, but for flip ups the Perneborne design from Sweden or the Beachmaster from New Zealand look great.

Re: Transom wheels

Hey Dawson, I ordered a set to FSJ in the spring and they took a week to get here. I got mine off Ebay.ca from http://stores.ebay.ca/aquamarineboat (he's in Vancouver). I got the 16" set and I think they were about $150 taxes in/shipped. They are the typical Chinese set, seem kind of light duty. I would have preferred to get a set of these http://www.beachmaster.co.nz/ but they are only 10" diameter and I wanted to be able to roll through the muddy shores of Williston.

Re: Transom wheels

I went wit the west marine version, Would suggest if you are going to be on anything other than smooth surface these are not the ones.

Also go all the way thru transom, did as instructions suggested and did not work.
