Transom wood

I am redoing the transom on my mid 70's 14ft starcraft, i have got the old one out and it is one and a quater inch thick ply wood, I am located in wichita kansas, where is a guy likely to find wood to replace this????

I'd use a piece of 3/4",+ a piece of 1/2".......<br /><br />That'll give you the 1 1/4" you're looking for..........

Yes, as bondo says. Laminate two together using water proof glue and stainless screws. I've done that many times.

I hear gorilla glue works well for laminateing the two pieces is that correct? do I need to apply a sealer to the wood or anything like that

yes the wood needs to be waterproof maybe some fiberglass resin would do the trick.
