Transom

Hi gang! First post on this site. Thanks for having me. I was keeping up with acpics80 on his sea nymph cc191 because I have the same boat. My question is the transom is made up of 3 pieces, a bottom and two top pieces. Why not one piece?

1 large piece to make the transom and scraps to make the smaller top 'wings' on each side.

3pcs instead of 1 for cost savings
