how can u test this part .. ohm meter ive tried alot of things on this boat and getting no where .. 1986 force 125 ..not opening up all the way . a piece was broke at the trigger *** . replaced it but it seems like its not working with the timing as to open up all the way

Chris, I'd like to be able to type all that out to you, but it's over a page in length. If you can't get the shop manual (strongly advised), you can go to your nearest public library to get the info you need. It's classified "reference material", so you won't be able to 'check-out' the manual,and you'll have to copy the info you need on the machine.<br />A side-benefit is, many times there is more than one source book on your motor, and you can get the best of all of them.
