I tested the trigger with the ohm meter as in manual. I am not getting any readings at all. The engine barely runs. Should I replace it? & is flywheel removal necessary to do this? 200 merc 94 carbed v6 Any one Near Orlando, FL that does repairs (flywheel removal) or sells parts cheap?
Thanks in advance.

yes you do have to remove the flywheel to replace the trigger. You should have 3 to 5 volts comeing out of the the trigger when cranking and disconnected from the switch box.. The manual will not tell you that. Test with volt meter.

DVA is a direct voltage adapter harness. It so you can test voltages while the engine is running.

Just use regular multimeter on AC volts and multiply readings by 1.4.

Ken
