1985 evinrude 70 trigger magnet on flywheel is loose. Not the stator magnets(these are embedded). Can this be reglued? If so in what position? Cdi document only lists v4,v6, 2cyl. This is 3 cyl.
Is alignment same as on 1978 Johnson? I have that motor too.

The center flywheel magnet ring is pressed into position at the factory. Once they get out of sync, you are pretty much done. I doubt most of us have an ability to re-locate that timing ring to within plus or minus a half degree...(or whatever the spec is.) Look for a used flywheel. I would be very reluctant to run a flywheel that someone had re-timed. While it may run, it's possible it could be off a few degrees, and that could be bad, when run at WOT for a long time.

Ok thanks. Any idea which part numbers are interchangeable? I can't find that exact number.

That's why if you get it glued back in you check your WOT Timing with a light so you know it's on. There is info out there showing the position of that magnet in the flywheel in relation to the flywheel key. Just seen it the other day Maybe somebody will chime in with it.
