Howdy, DungY

Go to the Engine FAQ and do the starter circuit troubleshooting in "Outboard wont start".

Can't help you on the T&T problem, but someone will be along who can.

Get the model number off the engine plate on the mount and post it so we know what you have.

Good luck. :)

dungy,

The model number would help. in the meantime, check these.

1. The power tilt/trim manual release valve may be open.

Look for a hole in the side of the transom bracket that has a screw down deep inside. Turn the screw clockwise to see if it seats. You can also use this "release" to raise the engine manually.

Raise the engine and look for a large plug with a screw slot on it. Remove that plug and see if there is any fluid inside. If not, fill with OMC trim fluid.

Engine-

Remove the negative battery cable from the engine block and throroughly clean it.

Also, you may want to jump straight to the starter useing the battery and see if it cranks, Big cable from battery to big cable going to the starter... If it goes, change out the starter selonoid and for sure check the grounds at the battery and engine. as was suggested..

Have you charged your battery, My trim will do the same thing when I run the battery down.
